Homemade Protein Balls are quick and easy to make, you have full control of the ingredients and they are also cheaper than shop bought. They are so easy to take with you for a post exercise snack and you can vary the ingredients to your own tastes.
Cinnamon and Raisin:
Without a food processor or blender:
I Cup of Oats
½ Cup of Almond Butter
2 tbsp of Honey
2 tbsp of Chia Seeds
½ Cup of Raisins
1 tsp of cinnamon
Pinch of Salt
Just mix everything together in a bowl and roll into bite size balls. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Apricot and Coconut
With a food processor or blender:
1 Cup Dried Apricots
½ Cup of Raisins
¼ cup Almonds
¼ cup Walnuts
3 tbsp Desiccated Coconut (unsweetened)
1 tbsp Flaxseeds
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Put everything in a food processor or blender and blitz together. If the mixture is too dry add a drop of water to help it bind. Roll into bite size balls. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
